All Rates include comprehensive insurance, oils and maintenance of the vehicles.
DEPOSIT
Deposits are £100 (in some cases £200) ( paid in addition to the hire charge at the commencement of the rental )unless otherwise stated, they are refundable as long as the vehicle is returned on time and in the same condition as departure and fuel levels are returned the same and there is no additional milage outside of the agreed limit.
Deposits are required to secure booking made to avoid disappointment and are non refundable if you make a cancellation.
DRIVERS
Must between 25 and 70 years of age. (22-25 year old may be accepted to special conditions). The hirer/driver must have regularly driven for 2 years or more on a full license. They also need to have previous experience of
driving the type of vehicle they are hiring.
Any license having an endorsement for speeding and technical offenses will be considered. An HGV license is not required.
An insurance form must be completed by each driver.
PROOF OF IDENTIFICATION
In addition to the drivers license, drivers must produce
a) Proof of signature (such as bankers card, Passports etc.)
b) Proof of current address (such as Bank statement, phone bill, gas bill etc. but must be dated within last 4 weeks prior to hire date) When moving to new address, verification of this must be shown. ( otherwise insurance is void )
INSURANCE
The Hirer shall be responsible for up to £750 (insurance excess) of each and every incident resulting in loss or damage to the hired vehicle or other persons property.
The aforementioned insurance excess can be reduced to £195 (or other sum specifified on the hire agreement)
by paying an additional fee (Excess reduction Insurance) and by initialling box 21 on the hire agreement prior to the comencment of the hire. Windscreen insurancecan be purchased at point of departure for a small fee.
PAYMENT
A deposit plus the estimated cost of the rental must be paid on or before collection of the vehicle. An extra £500 deposit is required if cover is not taken on the insurance excess.
Vehicle booking cannot be confirmed until a deposit has been paid.
Cheques, unless backed by a current and valid bankers card, are not acceptable unless paid 10 days in advance.
PART DAY RENTALS
All vans can be rented by the part day subject to immediate availability or by special arrangement with CC Hire
A part day = 4 hours during the morning or afternoon, or an overnight hire from 5.30pm until 8 am, each includes 50 free miles.
FUEL
All fuel must be the responsibility of the hirer. Each vehicle will be supplied with approximately 1/4 of tank of fuel and is expected to return as it was collected.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Vehicle delivered and collected locally by arrangement.
Hirers private vehicles may be parked on the site for period of hire, free of charge, but at owners risk.
Most vans are fitted with 3 seats, heater, 3-point seat belts and radio.
Also ladder racks, sack barrows, roof racks and tow bars are available subject to charges and availability.
CONTINENTAL TRAVEL
20% surcharge on the basic cost must be added. High mileage rates on vans only available. Green Card Insurance and 5* AA cover or equivalent must be added to the cost of the hire.
